DBasia.news – Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa will pass two matches due to the hamstring injury when his team won 3-1 against Club Bruges in the Champions League.
“Diego Costa, who was substituted in the 69th minute against Bruges, underwent a scan on Friday to find out the extent of the injury,” said a statement from Atletico.
“The report given by the club’s medical service says he has suffered an injury in his left hamstring. His time out will be determined by how the injury evolves.”
Costa would miss the Spanish League against Real Betis on Sunday and won’t be included in the Spain national team squad for the matches against Wales and England.
This season, Costa scored three goals in 10 matches of all competitions.
When Costa absents, Atletico would rely on Angel Correa or Nikola Kalinic to collaborate with the French striker Griezmann in the attacking line.
