By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus star, Cristiano Ronaldo, is confirmed to be absent when his team host Udinese in the top 16 round of the Coppa Italia 2019/2020, Thursday (1/16/2020) AM. Ronaldo was unable to play as he felt unwell and had to rest.
What could have happened that made Cristiano Ronaldo absent? Did Maurizio Sarri intentionally want to rest the star? Or does the coach want to give the stage to Paulo Dybala who was furioys when he was pulled off the pitch in the previous match?
The answer is apparently neither. According to Maurizio Sarri, Ronaldo missed the Juventus vs Udinese match due to illness. He considered the megastar should rest, and not take part in the match which was finally won with the score 4-0.
“He has had sinuses in the past few days. His condition is improving today. However, this afternoon, he had a fever. On the advice of the doctor, we decided to give him time to rest, “explained Maurizio Sarri after the match as quoted by Football Italia.
This is the fourth time Cristiano Ronaldo has been absent to defend Juventus for the 2019-20 season. Previously, he was absent when Juventus was against Brescia and Atalanta because of minor injuries. Then, he was also absent when I Bianconeri served Lecce.
Even without Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus had
no trouble removing Udinese from the Coppa Italia stage. Paulo Dybala became
the I Bianconeri’s star. The Argentine player made an assist for the opening
goal made by his compatriot, Gonzalo Higuain, in the 16th minute. Then, he also
broke into Nicolas Andrare’s goal in the 26th and 58th minutes.
