Dybala’s Jersey Collection and Special Memories Behind It
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus player, Paulo Dybala is known to love the collection of soccer jersey. Each collection has special memories, one of them is Arjen Robben’s jersey.
Dybala, who began his professional career as a footballer with the Argentine club Instituto, shared his story with uefa.tv, as reported by UEFA.com.
“Hi everyone. I’m Paulo Dybala and, as you all know, I love jersey collection. I started doing it since playing professionally. Recently I posted pictures of some of my jerseys collection on Instagram.”
One that’s special in the Paulo Dybala’s collection is Arjen Robben’s jersey. That jersey was obtained after Juventus vs Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 on 23 February 2016.
“This jersey is very special because this was from the day I scored the first goal in the Champions League. The match was against Bayern and faced an extraordinary goalkeeper, (Manuel) Neuer.”
“It is impossible not to choose this one because I really admire him (Arjen Robben) as a player. How he moves on the pitch, his actions, how he runs with balls sticking to his feet. Only a handful of people can do that.”
In that match Thomas Mueller and Arjen Robben put Bayern two goals ahead. But Dybala’s goal not only thinned out but also raised Juve to equalize through Stefano Sturaro.
“It was an unforgettable Champions League match for me. We were only 2-2 against Bayern, but (Josep) Guardiola was still their coach.”
“The game was really difficult because as we know Bayern played amazing football and we already know Robben’s typical move is to cut in from the wing and shoot at the far post. But he was so fast that we couldn’t stop him and he made a goal from one of those moves. It’s a very special shirt,” he said.
