DBasia.news – The Danish dynamite team continued to explod at Euro 2020. Most recently, the 1992 European Cup champion bulldozed the Euro 2016 semifinalists, Wales, to win a ticket to the quarter-finals.
However, Simon Kjaer and his team mates were able to destroy Russia 4-3 in the last match. Denmark is ahead on goal difference from Finland and Russia.
Dynamite continued its positive trend of losing to Wales in the round of 16. Denmark managed to advance to the quarter-finals of the 2020 European Cup, after beating Wales 0-4 at the Johan Cruyff Arena Saturday (26/6) evening, WIB.
In that match, Denmark’s four winning goals were scored by Kasper Dolberg (27′ and 48′), Martin Braithwaite (84′) and Joakim Maehle (88′).
Quoted from the official UEFA website, Denmark created three records. First, Dynamite is the only team to score four goals in two consecutive matches at Euro 2020.
Second, Denmark advanced to its third quarter-final at the European Cup, as well as the first since 2004. Denmark has scored a total of nine goals, equaling Dynamite’s record for most European Cup goals.
