Exhausted, Reason Behind The U23 Taiwan Team’s Defeat

DBasia.news – U23 Taiwan coach Pen Wushung revealed the reason behind the loss of his team against the U23 Indonesia national team. He thought the exhaustion as the main trigger, besides a good strategy from Garuda Muda squad.

The U23 Indonesia national team defeated the U23 Taiwan 4-0 during the Group A match of 2018 Asian Games at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, Sunday (12/8).

Stefano Lilipaly (67′ and 77′), Beto Goncalves (71′), and Muhammad Hargianto (90+2′) scored the decisive goals.

“We tried our best. But Indonesia was lucky because this is their first match. We played before (0-0 score) with Palestine. We are exhausted,” he said.

“However, we will focus on the next match against Hong Kong. We will boost our power.”

The U23 national team will play against U23 Palestine in the second match of Group A at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Wednesday (15/8).

While the U23 Taiwan national team will play against Hong Kong in the third match of Group A at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, also on Wednesday (15/8).
