DBasia.news – JJuventus failed to win the Coppa Italia title when defeated by Napoli with a score of 2-4 through penalty shootout on Thursday (6/18). The failure of Juventus made the star, Cristiano Ronaldo, considered as the most selfish player.

Napoli have been named as winner even though Juventus haven’t dropped their fifth kicker on penalties. The kick taker was indeed Cristiano Ronaldo.

The question is why Ronaldo was placed as the fifth kicker. Although it is certainly not wrong and reasonable because the fifth kick taker is often crucial.

But not a few who think the ability and calmness of Ronaldo is needed and the star should be the first to advance.

Ronaldo’s star player effect was considered would be an opening that can reduce opponents’ mentality as well as to motivate his colleagues. It’s no secret, the first kick taker on penalties often has a high burden.

Evidently, the first and second kick taker of Juventus failed. They were Paulo Dybala and Danilo. Meanwhile, all the Napoli kick taker successfully struck the ball into the goal.

After the match Ronaldo was straight bombarded with criticism. Many comments in cyberspace called Ronaldo selfish for prioritizing himself only. The reason because Ronaldo was deliberately indeed waiting to be the last kicker.

Thus, he will be considered a hero. Ronaldo was again referred as a selfish player. His desire to become a hero actually sacrificed the team’s golden opportunity.

Events like in the Coppa Italia final are not the first time that happened. Ronaldo also did not have the chance to kick the penalty for choosing to be the last executor when defending Portugal against Spain in the 2012 European Cup and against Chile in the 2017 Confederations Cup.
