Bayer Leverkusen wing striker Leon Bailey is favored by many Europe clubs, especially from the Premier League since last season. Leverkusen understand about this situation and won’t let him go on January 2019 during the winter transfer market.
Leon Bailey often considered as one of Germany talented players. The 21-year-old midfielder was Bayer Leverkusen’s prominent player in the 2017-2018 season.
Throughout the 2018-2019 season, Leon Bailey scored 9 goals in Bundesliga. Consequently, Bailey helped Bayer Leverkusen finished in the fifth position.
Leon Bailey’s impressive performance brings him as the target of Premier League giant clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea.
Besides that, Italy also put the interest on him. AS Roma are looking for the chance to bring Leon Bailey to Stadio Olimpico.
However, Bayer Leverkusen won’t release Leon Bailey during the winter transfer market. But they realize Bailey will eventually go.
“We all know that Leon will eventually go,” Bayer Leverkusen Sporting Director Jonas Boldt told Bild.
“But we have made it clear that a winter change is out of the question. He also knows that he has our backing,” Boldt continued.
Bayer Leverkusen’s statement vanished the expectation of Premier League clubs targeting Leon Bailey. At least, Bailey will move in the next transfer market.
