Fernandinho Comments on the Liverpool v Manchester City match
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Three points become a fixed price for Manchester City when they meet Liverpool at Anfield in the continued Premier League match. That’s what was expressed by Fernandinho, Man City midfielder.
“We went to Anfield and tried to win the match. City mentality is always trying to win matches as we did against Atalanta in the Champions League from the first minute,” Fernandinho said at Soccerway.
City is now ranked second in the Premier League standings with a collection of 25 points. They are six points behind Liverpool who are still firmly on the throne.
This weekend, The Citizens have the opportunity to cut the distance with Liverpool when they travel to Anfield Stadium on Sunday (11/10) night Western Indonesian Time. Fernandinho also set a target of three points.
“As I said to the players, with games like against Atalanta, if you cannot win, you cannot lose. One of our players was injured in the game, two goalkeepers also came out for different situations. But, I think the enthusiasm of the players is extraordinary.”
“As I said, we went there Sunday and tried to win the match,” Fernandinho added.
Fernandinho himself is likely to be played again as a central defender. He will duet with John Stones. City actually still has Nicolas Otamendi, but Manager Pep Guardiola lacks confidence in the Argentine.
