Fernando Santos About UEFA Nations League Draw Results

DBasia.news –  Being in the same group as Croatia, Sweden and France, Fernando Santos, the Portuguese coach, is not worried with the conditions.

Portugal coach Fernando Santos said he was not pessimistic even though his team being in a heavy group. He even claimed to have predicted that Portugal would be in a hellish group. “This is a draw that produces tight groups with strong teams in it. We know we will get this difficult draw result,” Santos said as quoted from the official UEFA page.

“Compared to last year, this time there were not three teams in one group but four teams. So of course this makes it more difficult,” he added.

Even so, he claimed to remain optimistic to achieve maximum results in the UEFA Nations League. Even though the opponents he’s facing were not easy countries.

Meanwhile, France coach Didier Deschamps also did not want to flinch despite being in a group with Portugal.

“The results of the UEFA Nations League are games that will be quite tough for us. There are several big matches ahead. We will be playing against big teams in this competition,” Deschamps said.
