Former Inter Milan Player Doubted Christian Eriksen

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Inter Milan managed to get Christian Eriksen in the transfer market last January. But that made former Nerazzurri striker Benito Carbone worried.

Inter recruited Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur in January for 20 million euros. He debuted the day after he was bought, when Inter overcame Fiorentina 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia on January 29.

The 28-year-old midfielder has appeared eight times so far in all competitions, scoring one goal and one assist. The adaptation process is now disrupted by the Corona virus pandemic, which has stalled competition.

One of Carbone’s concerns about Eriksen is that his style of play is deemed inappropriate for Antonio Conte’s idea. Conte wants his team to always be quick to push back the opponent and close the bait lane, while one thing that is believed to be the weakness of Eriksen is slow movement.

“Conte’s team was built with a different idea and this Danish player risks disrupting the balance that Conte has built,” Carbone told Calciomercato, as quoted by Football Italia.

“So either the system has changed, or the players have to work hard to change the approach,” he continued.
