DBasia.news – 37-year-old Franck Ribery was able to leave Fiorentina after his home was robbed.

The robbery incident occurred on Sunday (5/7) evening local time. The robber ransacked Ribery’s home in Florence when he played in the Fiorentina match against Parma.

The robbers reportedly took a number of valuables from Ribery’s house including two Rolex watches, Cartier bracelets, various gold jewelery and 10 branded bags. They also hacked the surveillance system, furniture and raided clothes to be scattered on the floor.

“When I returned after winning the victory over Parma, I went home. This is my ‘home’ in Italy, the country where I decided to continue my career after happy years in Munich,” Ribery said.

“After the victory against Parma, I returned home. My home is in Italy, a country where I decided to continue my career after many wonderful years in Munich,” Ribery wrote on his personal Twitter account.

“So my wife lost a few bags, some jewelry, but thank God it didn’t matter. What surprised me was that I was robbed and this had never happened to me before.”

Ribery deserved to be grateful as when the robbery occurred, his family was in Munich. But he acknowledged this has caused its own trauma.

He might consider continuing his career in Italy. His contract with Fiorentina will expire in 2021.

“How can I feel good here after the incident? I’m not chasing money because we don’t lack anything, but because of my passion in football,” he added.

“But my family remains first. We will make the necessary decisions.”

This is certainly a signal of danger for Fiorentina. Although only appeared 15 times because of injury, Ribery’s role is vital by scoring three goals and two assists.
