DBasia.news – Napoli coach, Gennaro Gattuso said his team was able to overcome the pressure, especially after reaching a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia second leg semi-final match, Sunday (14/6). Napoli secured their way to the top of the party to face Juventus with a 2-1 aggregate advantage.

“We are a team with good quality. We try to be more aggressive and attack when pressing, but we still have to hone it. When we are under pressure, we know how to overcome it,” Gattuso told RAI Sports on Sunday (6/14).

He acknowledged that Napoli conceded a bad goal when Christian Eriksen broke into his side’s goal with a corner kick when it was just two minutes away. However, he stressed it was not the fault of goalkeeper, David Ospina. According to him, it was just a mistake in taking a position in the corner kick situation.

“The team believes in what they are doing, working hard all week and these children gave it their everything. I think the level of quality is very high and if we are able to attack and defend humbly, we can achieve great things,” he continued.

Napoli will face one of its archenemies, Juventus, in the final match. Realizing the strength of the prospective opponent, Gattuso chose a brave attitude and would force his team to bring out its best ability.

“We will face Juventus who are used to winning, has a great winning mentality, then we must fight hard. We know it takes a great performance to bring the trophy home,” said the former AC Milan midfielder.

Gattuso was bound by a contract to Napoli until the end of the season, but he claimed not to have thought of a contract extension regardless of the outcome in the final.

“Luckily I am not interested in money, I only care about having respect for anyone I work with. Contracts are not valuable to me, I admit that I can be angry and just leave, so I need to improve my attitude, “added Gattuso.
