DBasia.news – The 23-year-old striker of Genoa Krzysztof Piatek is becoming the most-wanted player. His goal achievement with Genoa steals the world’s attention.
Piatek scored 14 goals from 10 matches for the club and Poland national team, equals to 1 goal for every 60 minutes. Piatek often compared to another Poland striker, Robert Lewandowski.
There are many European clubs queuing to monitor his situation and trying to recruit him in the transfer market. They are Chelsea, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona. His transfer fee could exceed 50 million euro.
Genoa are in a difficult position to preserve the former Cracovia player. If there’s a concrete amount of transfer fee offered to them, it would be difficult to hold Piatek’s leave who just recruited this summer.
Genoa director Giorgio Perinetti also responded to the long queue of the European clubs to Piatek. He insisted that he won’t sell Piatek on January during the winter transfer market.
“There is a queue for Piatek and I hope it grows, but so far there are only shows of interest. Now he has to confirm his form and improve,” Perinetti emphasized.
“He has a strong character, so won’t get distracted by the transfer market rumors. We had already spotted in the first training ground games that we were dealing with a really important player,” he continued.
When asked if he could leave for €50m, Genoa are still strong enough to preserve their asset.
“He is our player and we’re keeping him. We are studying his progress and haven’t set a price tag on him,” Perinetti added.
“We’re curious to see just how good he can become, but at this moment we’re helping him have a good season. There are many clubs observing him, including international sides, so we’ll see…” he concluded.
