Maurizio Sarri Praises the Three Star Players after Defeating Genoa

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Juventus continued their positive trend in Serie A after beating Genoa 3-1 on Wednesday (1/7) AM. The manager, Maurizio Sarri said this victory was thanks to the individual qualities of the players.

Three Juventus winning goals were scored by Paulo Dybala (50 ‘), Cristiano Ronaldo (56’) and Douglas Costa (3 ‘). While Genoa was only able to reply one time through Andrea Pinamonti in the 76th minute.

It must be admitted that the goals scored by Juventus in this match were purely individual actions of the players who listed their names on the scoreboard. It does not look like a neatly arranged game scheme from the training process.

Dybala scored the first goal through individual action in Genoa’s penalty box. While Ronaldo and Costa completed the victory of Juventus through accurate shots from outside the penalty box.

“In the second half, we have to thank the individual qualities of the players because we scored three excellent goals through the actions of three individual players,” Sarri said as quoted by Goal International.

“Paulo’s great maneuver, Ronaldo’s superb shot and absurd accuracy as well as strength from Costa.”

In the match Juventus had indeed had difficulty dismantling Genoa’s defense. The Bianconeri was unable to score until the first half ended.

Sarri is not worried that Juventus will depend on individual quality rather than teamwork to score goals. He actually considers this as another option that makes the game his of team more difficult to be anticipated by the opponents.

“This is how we finish the match, that is, with individual action and the phenomenal skills of our players. We accept this assumption,” he added.

Sarri certainly will not be worried about Juventus as long as they win. He realized the performance of his players had not reached their peak performance after the competition was postponed due to the corona virus pandemic.

“Once we improve the conditions, we would start to play better football. Our condition is getting better after the lockdown,” he concluded.
