DBasia.news – Germany national team coach Joachim Low criticized the penalty kick given to France national team when his team got a 1-2 defeat in the UEFA Nations League.
France did a comeback thanks to the two goals from Antoine Griezmann after Toni Kroos previously brought Germany led through the penalty kick.
Griezmann’s decisive penalty happened 10 minutes before the match ended when Mats Hummels considered made a foul to Matuidi in the penalty box.
Low didn’t say that France were lucky to get that decision. “It was not a penalty. Mats does not touch him. Matuidi steps on his foot.”
“We were absolutely on par with the world champions, but we had to score a second goal in the first half,” he said.
“Unfortunately, we were not rewarded for a good game. If we were a bit smarter then we would’ve scored the second goal and won,” Low said.
