DBasia.news – For the umpteenth time, Willian has refused an offer for a two-year contract extension from Chelsea. Even so the 31-year-old player still wants to play in the Blues’ last match when they meet Bayern Munich in the top 16 of the Champions League.

Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard is currently facing a squad crisis with Christian Pulisic, Cesar Azpilicueta, Pedro and Billy Gilmour who were injured. In addition Chelsea are also unable to play Jorginho and Marcos Alonso who have been attached to accumulated cards.

At the moment Willian is focusing on recovering from the injury that caused him to miss the FA Cup final. Later Willian would be sought after by many clubs, including Arsenal and Barcelona.

The player’s agent, Kia Joorabchian said that Willian had received offers from several clubs and would only determine his future after his season ends with Chelsea.

“I don’t think he will change his mind. He is always in the same mode. We have a big offer from one of the MLS clubs that requires him to move on July 1, but he always wants to finish the season at Chelsea. The day after the season is over he will decide his future, “Kia Joorabchian said as quoted by TalkSports.

The chances of the Blues to keep Willian has become slim. The player really only wants to consider a contract extension if Chelsea offers a duration of three years.

While Chelsea has recently adopted a policy of only extending contracts for one or two years for players over the age of 30.
