Glanced by Man United, Ciro Immobile Agrees on a New Contract with Lazio

DBasia.news – Ciro Immobile has reportedly agreed to sign a new contract with Lazio that lasts until 2025. Previously the striker was linked to his transfers to top European clubs including Manchester United.

As reported by Il Tempo, Ciro Immobile has agreed to sign a new contract with Lazio that lasts until 2025 and he will receive a salary of 4 Million Euros (around Rp. 64 Billion) per season including a bonus.

The new contract has a duration of five years meaning he will be 35 years old when his contract expires.

The 30-year old striker has collected 116 goals in 167 matches for Lazio since being recruited from Sevilla for a fee of 8.75 Million Euros (around Rp. 140 Billion) in the summer of 2016.

This season, Immobile has been productive with 30 goals in 33 appearances in all competitions.

His impressive performance has undeniably attracted the interest of several top European clubs including, Manchester United, Liverpool and Napoli who were widely associated with the striker’s transfer.

Until now there has been no official statement from the player or the club regarding the extension of his contract, which at this time the team coached by Simone Inzaghi is preparing to welcome the resumption of the 2019/20 Serie A competition which will start on June 20.

The first opponent that will be faced by Biancocelesti is Atalanta, Thursday (6/25) WIB, all matches in the rest of the season will be important for Lazio’s position in the standings which currently ranks second below Juventus.
