DBasia.news – Argentine striker, Gonzalo Higuain, reportedly escaped from the Juventus quarantine. As is known, Italy is currently undergoing a quarantine period. It is the government’s policy to reduce the spread of Corona Virus.
The Juventus squad itself are also obliged to undergo quarantine. As previously Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi were infected with Covid-19.
When the Juventus players had to run a quarantine program, Gonzalo Higuain was acting up and tried to escape.
According to Repubblica, police caught him red-handed and stopped Higuain at Caselle Airport. At that time Higuain and other Juventus player, Rodrigo Bentancur, were about to fly in a private jet.
However, Gonzalo Higuain then showed a letter of test results related to the Corona virus. The letter showed that the test results showed he was negative or not infected with Covid-19.
Juventus later clarified this news. The Bianconeri claimed to have given permission to Higuain to return to Argentina.
Besides the negative test results, Higuain was also allowed to go home as his mother has been in ill in Argentina.
Aside from Higuain, Juventus have also given permission to Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira to leave Italy. Both test results were also negative.
Higuain himself has defended Juventus in 34 matches in all competitions this season. The former Chelsea and Real Madrid player also contributed eight goals and eight assists.
