Guardiola is Disturbed by the President of Barcelona
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, issued a strong statement to his former club, Barcelona. The Manchester City coach was disturbed after Barca president, Josep Maria Bartomeu, commented on the Citizens’ sentence.
Manchester City received a sanction from UEFA after being found guilty of violating the rules of Financial Fair Play. The Citizens are banned from appearing in the European competition for the next two years and were fined 30 million euros.
The sentence has delighted Josep Maria Bartomeu. He considered, the actions taken by UEFA were correct.
“We are grateful to UEFA who in the past few years have been very confident in reinforcing the Financial Fair Play,” Bartomeu stated.
Bartoemeu’s statement received a strong response from Pep Guardiola. He felt, Bartomeu commented too much.
“I don’t know if they are spying on me. If that happens, they know me so they don’t have to do that,” Pep Guardiola said as reported by FourFourTwo.
“And if they are happy that we are being punished, I will say to the president of Barcelona, give us the right to appeal. We believe in the right party and will appeal. All that will happen.”
“However, don’t talk so loud, Barcelona, my advice: Don’t talk too loudly. As everyone is sometimes involved in situations. We will appeal and hopefully in the future be able to play against Barcelona in the Champions League,” Guardiola said.
Previously, Josep Maria Bartomeu was accused of working with the buzzers to clear his name on social media. One of the names targeted for the action was Pep Guardiola.
