DBasia.news – Manchester City coach, Pep Guardiola, believes his team has shown the appearance of defending champions when they lost 1-3 at Anfield against Liverpool on Sunday (11/10/2019) in Week 12 of the Premier League match this season.
Liverpool vs Manchester City itself ended with a score of 3-1 for the home team. Three goals from Liverpool were scored by Fabinho, Sadio Mane, and Mohamed Salah. Meanwhile, Manchester City’s goal was scored by Bernardo Silva.
“In this match, we play like a championship team. We came to the stadium which was very difficult and was able to show extraordinary performances. I am very proud of the players’ performances in the match earlier,” Pep Guardiola told Sky Sports.
“We played very extraordinarily at the headquarters of the best European teams. We played very well and showed that we really have the right to be champions in the last two seasons,” continued Guardiola added.
Now, Liverpool is getting further from the pursuit of Manchester City. Guardiola also admitted that foster children will find it difficult to negate the acquisition of the Reds points in the rest of the match this season.
“I am not a witch. So, I don’t know what will happen in the future. Now, it’s time for the players to focus with their respective national teams. After that, we will prepare for Chelsea. Hopefully, we can beat them in the game later,” said Guardiola.
