DBasia.news – The defender and captain of U23 Indonesia national team, Hansamu Yama Pranata, expected the Garuda squad could stop the poor record during the match against West Asia teams. He said it ahead of the round of 16 against one of the West Asia teams, the United Arab Emirates.

The match against UAE will be conducted at Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, Bekasi on Friday (24/8). The UAE will be the opponent since Indonesia are the champion of Group A.

Recently, the U23 Indonesia national team got defeated from Palestine in the group phase. The UAE are predicted to have similar strength like Palestine.

“There is no evaluation about the match against Palestine. That was our motivation,” Hansamu Yama said.

Statistically, Indonesia national team also defeated by Syria (0-1) on November 2017 and Bahrain (0-1) on April 27.

“We have the motivation, moreover we never win against the Middle East teams. So tomorrow would be our chance to win,” Hansamu Yama explained.

If they win, the U23 Indonesia national team will play against the winner of the match between Bangladesh and North Korea.
