Harry Kane Will Lead the British National Team Out If There Is Racial Harassment

DBasia.news –  England National Team striker Tammy Abraham said his squad was prepared for the worst events if the Three Lions suffered racial harassment. The action will be led by the captain, namely Harry Kane.

“Harry Kane said if that thing (racial harassment) happened, and we were not happy, we talked to the player and if he was not happy, we all left the field,” Abraham told The Mirror.

“It is a team matter. Don’t isolate one person, we are a team. If it happens to one of us, it happens to all of us.”

The Three Lions will play matches in the Czech Republic and Bulgaria next week. The second match played in Sofia was of particular concern, because Bulgarian fans had racially harassed several times when his team faced the Czechs and Kosovo.

Several British players have been victims of racial harassment. The latest example was experienced by Raheem Sterling and Danny Rose who were ridiculed by the sounds of monkeys in a match at the Montenegro headquarters last March.

European soccer’s governing body UEFA has implemented three protocol steps. First by announcing to players that there was racial harassment, then secondly, the players left the field when the second message was sent to the fans before finally a decision was made to continue or stop the match.

England currently top the Group A standings with 12 points from four matches. Victory over the Czech Republic and Bulgaria will be a big foothold for Britain’s hopes of a grand tournament next year.
