Harry Kane’s 200th Goal and Match in the Premier League

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Harry Kane finally managed to score a goal when Tottenham Hotspur conquered West Ham United with a score of 2-0 on Wednesday (6/24). This was his first goal of the year and coincided with his 200th game in the Premier League.

Kane really had to be absent since January due to suffering a severe injury. He even predicted could not play until the end of the season if the competition was not delayed the corona virus pandemic effect.

In the end, Kane recovered on time and appeared when Tottenham drew 1-1 with Manchester United in the Premier League comeback match last week. But he was in the spotlight because his contribution was almost unseen throughout the match.

That makes many people rated Kane does not fit into the game strategy adopted by Jose Mourinho. An assumption that had made the Portuguese manager furious.

Aware of being highlighted, Kane answered elegantly. His goal against West Ham will certainly silence the mouth of his critics.

“As a striker, you want to score goals and help win the match. I am happy to be able to score again,” Kane said after the match was reported by Sky Sports.

“I have worked very hard in the rehabilitation process, going through a lockdown and a warm-up match that led to the first Premier League match. I feel as fit as before.”

Kane claimed not to be affected by the various criticisms directed at him. He believes the goal will come soon.

“I’m someone who, whether I score a goal or not, loses a chance, I’m always ready for the next one. I don’t think it bothered me too much,” he added.

Kane’s goal feels even more special as it was created in his 200th appearance in the Premier League. He has scored a total of 137 in the highest caste of English soccer competition.
