Ibrahimovic Becomes the Differentiator in the Derby della Madoninna Match

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Zlatan Ibrahimovic is already 39 years old, but the performance he shows makes it seem like his age is just a number on paper. His appearance can be seen in the Derby della Madoninna.

Having just returned to play after recovering from the corona virus, Ibrahimovic immediately scored two goals and gave Milan a 2-1 victory over Inter Milan in week four of Serie A, Saturday (17/10) pm, WIB and another goal was scored by Romelu Lukaku, a former teammate at Manchester United.

The victory was the first for Milan after not winning for the last 10 years (last winning in 2010). Milan ended a minor trend against the Nerazzurri and Stefano Pioli paid tribute to Ibrahimovic.

“He (Ibrahimovic) was very tired and even asked to leave, but this time I ignored him! Zlatan was amazing, he brought a lot to the team with his talent, determination and character,” Pioli told Sky Sports Italia.

“He is an exemplary professional, gives everything for his team, wants to win everything from the tournament finals to the routine of the training ground. I can’t take any credit for dealing with Ibrahimovic, because it was so easy.”

“We suffered in the second half, but also held on to win, which shows we have improved, learned from previous mistakes and know how to stay focused.”

“The team spirit is extraordinary, we are working hard for our goals. We won every game this season, but nothing was easy, which means we have to improve tactically and technically, because we cannot always rely on character,” explained Pioli.

According to Opta’s record, Ibrahimovic now equals to Silvio Piola as the player who has scored the most goals (two goals or more) in a single Serie A match after turning 38 years old. Remarkably when Milan won in 2010 over Inter Ibra also scored the team’s winning goal.

Added by Squawka, no player has scored more goals than Zlatan Ibrahimovic this season in Serie A (four goals). Ibrahimovic showed a ‘hunger’ which is still the same as in the past.

“I know my level. After my injury, I went to America to feel alive. I told Jose Mourinho at Manchester United that I wasn’t ready and didn’t want to disappoint, so I went to America,” said Ibrahimovic.

“Mino Raiola told me to go back to Europe, they told me that Milan needed me, so I came. I feel like a more complete player now than I was 10 years ago. If I have the level of fitness I did 10 years ago, nothing will stop me. Mind you, they can’t stop me now either. “

“I train hard, I play with experience and my teammates are ready to help. I will not accept them taking their feet off the pedal, in training or in matches. We always have to train with 200 percent,” he stated.

Milan’s position immediately skyrocketed to the top of the standings with a clean sweep of four matches, continuing the undefeated record in the league since last season to 16 games. Next Milan will play AS Roma (27/10) after facing Celtic in the Europa League group match in midweek.
