Indonesia Defeats Arsenal

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  The Indonesian Team U-20 Allstar has defeated the Arsenal U-18 in the tournament titled Bali U-20 International Cup 2019.

Indonesia are ranked third after beating Arsenal U-18 4-2 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Saturday (7/12).

Indonesia’s goals were scored by Sutan Zico in the 41st and 48th minutes, Irfan Jauhari in the 6th minute, and Beckham Putra in the 64th minute. While two Arsenal goals were scored by Alfie Jacob Mattews in the 15th minute and Sam Greenwood in the 93rd minute.

This victory confirms Indonesia’s dominance over Arsenal. In the first meeting, Indonesia also won 3-1. This achievement is encouraging considering that Indonesia is not superior at all.

The three opposing teams, including Arsenal, were strengthened by young players from the Italian, English and Spanish national teams. While Indonesia has not displayed all the best strength, as there are young players who follow the Garuda Select program in the UK.

“Very, very proud, extremely, very promising. I think the federation and football figures can see, if we can foster these young players, we are not inferior to the world teams. With Arsenal we are consistent. The first day to win “3-1, today winning 4-2. I think we still have hopes in the future,” said Indonesia U-20 Allstar Manager, Gede Widiade after the match.

The domination over Arsenal has treated the painful defeats over Real Madrid and Inter Milan. Indonesia surrendered from Real Madrid 4-5, after winning 3-0. While with Inter Milan, Indonesia lost 0-1.
