Indonesia National Team Newest Jersey’s Philosophy

DBasia.news – Indonesia national team wore their newest jersey when defeating Mauritius with a 0-1 score at FIFA Match Day at Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, Tuesday (11/9).

The national team wore the jersey from Nike. The jersey is in red.

But this time, the latest home jersey of Garuda squad is combined with gold in the back number, player name, and Nike swoosh logo. Previously, the combination was red and white.

There is a philosophy behind the national team latest jersey. PSSI secretary general Ratu Tisha Destria explained the philosophy.

“The gold color is for the red jersey,” Ratu Tisha told reporters.

“We have to recognize the Garuda is in gold, that’s why we chose that color,” he added.

Meanwhile, the away jersey is still white with the green combination. The green is on the back number, player name, and the Nike swoosh logo either.

“We chose that color because green is the color of PSSI in the statute,” Tisha said.

The Indonesia national will once again wear the latest jersey for the first time in the official 2018 AFF Cup tournament on November 8 until December 15.
