Indra Sjafri Remains Calm Despite the Captain Absence in the Match Against Japan

DBasia.news – U19 Indonesia national team will perform without their captain, Nurhidayat Haji Haris, in the quarter-final of U19 Asian Cup against Japan. The captain must absence due to the red card in the recent match against the United Arab Emirates.

U19 Indonesia national team coach Indra Sjafri emphasized that he didn’t worry about the absence of Nurhidayat Haji Haris.

To accompany Rachmat Irianto in the defense, Indra still has two other defenders. They are Kadek Raditya and Indra Mustafa.

“From what we chose, the 23 players are equal. So, I am not dependent on one player,” Indra said.

“We brought 23 players with 4 center-back. Only one absence, it means there are still three others remaining,” he added.

Indra indicated that he chose Indra Mustafa as the successor of Nurhidayat. Moreover in the recent matches, the Persib Bandung defender also the first option besides Nurhidayat.

“All the players here are performing their best. They deserve the appreciation,” Indra described.
