Injured, AC Milan is not strengthened by Zlatan Ibrahimovic

DBasia.news – AC Milan will challenge Liverpool in the inaugural Champions League Group B match at Anfield Stadium, Thursday (16/9) am, WIB. In the match Milan will not be able to lose their aging striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Swedish goal machine was ruled out following the pain he felt in the Achilles tendon during training.
Previously, Ibrahimovic had just returned to play when Milan defeated Lazio 2-0 in Serie A. It was Ibra’s first appearance after almost four months of absence.
The absence of Ibra will certainly reduce the sharpness of Milan. Even though he is 39 years old, Ibra is still capable of being a frightening specter for opponents.
Ibrahimovic’s sharpness at a young age has earned praise from AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli. The coach assesses that Ibra never gets old. According to Pioli, Ibrahimovic always tries to win and trains to the maximum.
“Ibrahimovic never gets old and he has an incredible passion, a fire burns inside of him. He competes to win, he always trains to the maximum and he does it with pleasure. When you are like that, we don’t feel the years go by.” Pioli said as quoted by Sky Sports.
Ibrahimovic’s absence has made AC Milan likely to rely on another aging striker, Olivier Giroud, who previously had to step aside as he was tested positive for COVID-19.
