Inter Milan Considers Selling Christian Eriksen

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Inter Milan are reportedly considering selling Christian Eriksen, who had just arrived at the San Siro for half a season. The plan was due to Inter coach, Antonio Conte, who wanted to reunite with Arturo Vidal.

Eriksen was brought in by Inter from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer market for 27 million euros (around Rp.471 billion). The 28-year-old player is under contract until 2024.

Unfortunately while at San Siro, Conte did not see Eriksen as the ideal player for Inter’s midfield. Conte appeared more confident with veteran midfielder, Borja Valero.

Eriksen is considered to have failed to understand Conte’s scheme. One of them was when he was plotted in his natural position as a 3-4-1-2 formation trequartista.

Eriksen’s arrival at Inter Milan did not come from Conte’s will, but rather the club president, Steven Zhang. In fact, he also lost to compete with Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella.

Inter did not want to just let Eriksen go. They tried to take almost double the profit. The Danish player is valued at 50 million euros (around Rp.872 billion).

With Inter, Eriksen has appeared in 26 matches in all competitions with a record of four goals and three assists. These results include coming off the bench in the Europa League Final defeat to Sevilla.

As a replacement for Eriksen, the Nerazzurri are looking to sign Barcelona midfielder who canceled last season’s signing, Arturo Vidal. The player’s contract with the Blaugrana will end next season.
