Inter Milan Has a Bad Record at Napoli Headquarters, San Paolo

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Inter Milan will play a game in a challenging and haunted place for them, San Paolo, Napoli’s headquarters, in the continuation of the Serie A match.

Napoli will host Interdi giornata (week) 18 Serie A, Monday (07/01) 02.45 AM WIB. Napoli’s performance this season declined compared to previous seasons which led to the dismissal of Carlo Ancelotti.

Napoli appointed AC Milan legend, Gennaro Gattuso, as Ancelotti’s successor. Currently Lorenzo Insigne are in eighth place of the standings with 24 points. Different from Naples, Inter at the top of the standings with a collection of 42 points.

Even so there are statistical records that benefit Napoli. They can count on the greatness of San Paolo to fight Antonio Conte’s players.

According to data collected from Calciomercato, Napoli and Inter have met 73 times in San Paolo and the results have been for the hosts: 37 wins, 19 draws and 17 losses for Napoli.

The sense of victory was still felt by Napoli in last season’s 4-1 win over Inter at San Paolo. Napoli are still being coached by Ancelotti and Inter are coached by Luciano Spalletti.

Not only that, Inter were faced with a big challenge aged 22 years at San Paolo. They last won there on October 21, 1997 with a score of 2-0 over Napoli. After that match Inter never won again.

It is interesting to look forward to whether Inter can break the curse. As the situation of the two teams are in contrast today. Napoli are no longer as strong as when trained by Maurizio Sarri’s, while Inter have only lost once in Serie A 2019-20.
