By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus secured their first signing in January 2020. He is 19-year-old player, Dejan Kulusevski, from Atalanta.
The Bianconeri recruited him from Atalanta for 35 plus nine million euro bonuses and is contracted for five years. Kulusevski did not immediately defend Juventus as he continued his loan spell at Parma until the end of the 2019-20 season.
“I am thrilled. 2020 could not have started better. This is an important day for me, my friends, my family, and for all who have worked with me,” Kulusevski said on JTV.
“Juventus are one of the biggest clubs in the world. When everyone started their football careers, they all wanted to play for Juve. When the chance to strengthen Juve appeared, I didn’t think twice,” he believes.
Although he will strengthen Juventus in the 2020-21 season, a lot of fans wanted to get to know Kulusevski. 35 million euros of funds for the 19 year old player is not small amount.
Juventus purchase talents that can be a long-term investment. Moreover, Kulusevski was previously linked with Inter Milan and Manchester United.
Kulusevski’s performance so far in Serie A has been great. Playing 17 times, Kulusevski scored four goals and provided seven assists.
In the latest edition BolaSkor.com will provide interesting facts about Dejan Kulusevski. Here’s the full description:
1. Early Career
Kulusevski began his football career at a local club in the Stockholm region, Brommapojkarna, before joining Atalanta academy in 2016. Kulusevski performed well in the Primavera League and made his Serie A debut when Atalanta won 5-0 over Frosinone in 2019.
At the beginning of this season Parma borrowed him from Atalanta and there Kulusevski’s talents grew. As his development at club level, Kulusevski was also called up to strengthen the Swedish national team from young to senior.
2. Playing Position
Playing in many positions is Kulusevski’s strength: from attacking midfielders, wing-midfielders (mezzala), or wing attackers.
The character of play that becomes his strength, according to Whoscored, lies in his ability to provide key passes, dribbling the ball, and providing breakthrough bait. He also likes dribbling and playing short balls.
“From the beginning my role was a trequartista (attacking midfielder or attack regulator). I was trained by several different coaches with Atalanta and Parma, so I changed and played in several roles,” explained Kulusevski.
“I can be a wing attacker, last season I was a mezzala (midfielder), so I can play wherever the coach wants, but I see myself as a trequartista behind the attacker.”
In Maurizio Sarri’s 4-3-3 tactics or 4-3-1-2 at Juventus, Kulusevski is able to play both tactics well.
3. Northern Macedonia Descent, Swedish Passport
Born in Stockholm, Sweden, on April 25, 2000, Kulusevski is of Northern Macedonia descent from his parents. He has defended Northern Macedonia U-17 in 2015 with a record of five caps and six goals.
Afterwards Kulusevski consistently defended the Swedish national team from U-17 to U-21. In fact, he has made his debut in the Senior Swedish national team in 2019 when they won 3-0 against the Faroe Islands in the 2020 European Cup Qualifiers.
4. Idolizing Zlatan Ibrahimovic
It’s only natural that the young Swedish talent idolizes Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The striker, who recently re-strengthened AC Milan, is an icon of Swedish football with a record 116 caps and 62 goals.
“Ibrahimovic has become the main model for me. He is an idol for all Swedish players, but especially for us immigrant kids,” said Kulusevski. Hopefully Kulusevski’s career is as smooth as Ibrahimovic’s.
5. Faulty power as Mohamed Salah
“He has great physical strength. He reminds me of (Mohamed) One of the young men who passed the opponent in the first 10 meters,” said the Italian coach, Pierpaolo Bisoli.
“When you analyze the data, he is always one of the players who most close the distance in each game. He has a strong mentality as he came from the Atalanta academy. He has the potential to be a player who has a big faulty power,” added Parma coach, Roberto D’Aversa.
Two quotes from Italy’s top coach have shown how great Kulusevski’s talents are. Now all that’s left is for the basketball lover to develop it in the right direction and continue to work hard.
