Italy Bends Armenia, Roberto Mancini Not Yet Satisfied

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Italy national team successfully defeated Armenia. Nevertheless, Roberto Mancini, coach of the Italian national team, is still not satisfied with these results.

The Italian national team visited the headquarters of Armenia in the Republican Stadium in the continued 2020 European Cup Qualification match. The match took place on Thursday (5/9).

Indeed the Italian national team conceded first. Alexander Karapetian put the home side ahead when it was only 11 minutes.

Luckily, the Italian national team managed to turn things around thanks to Andrea Bellotti’s two goals and one goal from Luca Pellegrini. GLI Azzurri also wrapped 15 points from five matches, aka always winning.

Roberto Mancini also made history as the first Italian national team coach who was able to win five straight matches in the European Cup Qualifiers.

The previous record was set by Azeglio Vicini in 1987 and Antonio Conte in 2014. Both coaches won four wins in the European Cup Qualifiers.

However, Roberto Mancini was not very satisfied with these results. Mancini assessed that the Italian national team struggled when Armenia lost a player.

“I don’t know if this is the worst performance of the Italian national team. In my opinion, this game is difficult because there are no more easy parties,” said Roberto Mancini.

“Having left first, we managed to equalize before the break. In my opinion, the Armenian red card harmed the Italian national team because they became more defensive,” added Roberto Mancini.
