Jamie Vardy Commemorates the Late Khun Vichai

DBasia.news –  Leicester City striker, Jamie Vardy, commemorates the late Khun Vichai after the Foxes 9-0 victory over Southampton in the Premier League match.

The 9-0 victory that Leicester City posted at home to Southampton was the biggest away win in the highest caste in 131 years of English football history. The victory also equaled the biggest winning record in the Premier League era.

For Leicester City, the record was very special. The reason is, it was created in the one-year anniversary of the helicopter crash tragedy that killed the owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. Before match, at the St. Mary, a simple commemoration took place. The Foxes fans waved shawls with the name Khun Vichai written on them.

“The main thing that Khun Vichai wants from us is to fight and win. I think you all have seen that from the players tonight, “Jamie Vardy said after the match to Sky Sports as quoted by Leicester Mercury.” Credit to the players and hopefully the boss is watching over.”

Regarding the record cut made by The Foxes, the England national team striker admitted there was a high desire when the score continued to grow. In the first half alone, they were 5-0 up. That equaled Manchester City’s achievement when they visited Burnley’s home in 2010.

“We found that out at 6-0. Jonny Evans stated, if you continue to score, we will set a record. We continued to fight until the end and finally were able to do so, “explained Jamie Vardy.
