Jamie Vardy Detached from Hamstring Injury

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  Leicester City coach, Brendan Rodgers, can breathe a little relieved related to the injury conditions experienced by Jamie Vardy.  Had been feared to have suffered a hamstring injury and was absent for a long time, Rodgers revealed, Vardy did not have a hamstring injury and is expected to recover soon in the next few days.

Vardy must end the fight faster when Leicester City silenced West Ham United, 4-1.  Vardy was replaced by Kelechi Iheanacho in the 43rd minute due to an injury.

After an examination by the Leicester medical team, Rodgers revealed, Vardy did not experience a hamstring injury as previously feared.  “Fortunately, Vardy is not a hamstring injury. I hope, in the coming days, the injury can disappear and he can get back fit,” Rodgers said.

Rodgers added, this season, Vardy became one of Leicester’s mainstay players.  However, if Vardy is injured, Rodgers believes, the Foxes still have players who can replace Vardy’s role as an attacker.

In this season, Vardy was able to appear quite impressive.  The former England national team striker was at the top of the English Premier League’s top scorer, with a score of 17 goals.  In fact, Vardy’s goal contribution to Leicester’s total goals in the Premier League stage reached 34 percent.
