Jose Mourinho Makes Juventus Captain Afraid to Meet Tottenham
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Juventus mainstay defender, Leonardo Bonucci, hopes his team can avoid meeting with Tottenham in the 2019-20 Champions League knock-out round because of Jose Mourinho’s whereabouts.
Jose Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino who is considered to be a failure. In the first two games, The Special One made Harry Kane and colleagues always go home with three points.
One of these wins has made The Lilywhites ensure themselves advancing to the top 16 of the Champions League. That way, Tottenham has the opportunity to meet Juventus who are group winners.
“I want to avoid Tottenham Hotspur. By joining Mourinho, he can give something more in several matches. However, February and March are still a while away,” explained Bonucci as reported by Goal.
“In the knockout round, without wanting to underestimate Pochettino, Mourinho knew how to bring out more from his players,” added the player.
In this season, Juventus has increasingly been serious about winning the Champions League. Moreover, the Bianconeri have continued to fail in the past few years despite qualifying for the finals.
“I think about my team. We want to show the best performance to advance to the last round in every competition and embrace the trophy,” said Bonucci.
“So far, we have had a good season. We achieved a small target that made it easier for us to get the draw. Now, we have to think again about Serie A.
Leonardo Bonucci is not wrong to give praise
to Jose Mourinho. While still managing Inter Milan, the Portuguese coach
