Juventus Feel Optimistic in extending Paulo Dybala’s contract

DBasia.news – Juventus are reportedly optimistic that they can extend their main attacker’s contract, Paulo Dybala, which will provide him with 12 million euros per year (around Rp191 billion) by the Serie A giants.

Juventus will return to play on Friday night (local time) against Milan in the Coppa Italia, the first match in Italy in the 2019-20 season after a long postponement due to the corona virus pandemic.

Dybala himself has been infected with the corona virus and had difficulty breathing before being fully recovered.

The Argentine national team striker is predicted to be an important part of coach Maurizio Sarri’s plan to compete with Lazio and Inter title challengers in defending their Serie A titles.

Dybala, who has a contract in Turin until the summer of 2022, had previously said that there had been no conversations of a contract extension from Juve regarding the extension.

He also added that the responsibility lies with the club to make the first step.

“Renewal (contract)? For now there is nothing. I still have a year and a half left on my contract, it is not a lot of time and I understand that the corona virus makes the situation difficult for the club,” said the 26-year-old player as reported on CNN by Goal, Wednesday (10/6).

“However, other players have renewed their contracts. Let’s wait, it depends on Juventus.”

Even so, Juventus are confident in maintaining Dybala’s services and the player himself indicated that he wants to stay with I Bianconeri.

“I am happy to be here, people love me and vice versa. I really appreciate the club and the people here, I have a good relationship with the president (club) and we will definitely talk sooner or later.”

Dybala has scored 91 goals in 216 appearances for Juventus since joining in 2015 from Palermo.

The left-handed player has also asked to continue to use the number 10 jersey when signing a new contract.
