Kai Havertz said to be Zinedine Zidane’s Incarnation
By db-admin
DBasia.news – A compliment was given by Marcel Daum to Kai Havertz. He considered the Bayer Leverkusen playmaker to have similarities with the legend of the French national team, Zinedine Zidane.
This assumption was expressed directly by Bayer Leverkusen assistant coach, Marcel Daum. It was like seeing Zidane’s figure while watching Havertz competing in the field.
Both do have similarities. Aside from being equally positioned as an attacking midfielder, Havertz also has qualified individual skills as Zidane used to show in his heyday.
“For me, he (Havertz) has the flexibility of Zidane. If you look at his movements, he is very elegant, always calm, and has good bait,” Daum told talkSPORT.
“What people don’t see much is that he’s pretty fast. That’s a big bonus.”
Havertz’s name is on the rise after posting 15 goals for Leverkusen this season. He also broke the record as the first player under the age of 21 who was able to score 35 goals in the Bundesliga.
No wonder Havertz is now being hunted by Europe’s top clubs. Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, and Manchester United are reportedly in the forefront to bring him in.
“I can’t say he will be the best German player ever. But he has unlimited talent as shown by Zidane, “he added.
Maybe it’s too early to compare Havertz with Zidane. The player who was born June 11, 1999 still has to prove his quality at the highest level and one way is to strengthen a team that is bigger than Leverkusen.
