Kane: 2018 Is A Perfect Year for England
By news-admin
DBasia.news – England captain, Harry Kane, is delighted after The Three Lions qualified for the semifinal round of UEFA Nations League.
England won 2-1 against Croatia in the last match of UEFA Nations League at Wembley Stadium. The result made England unbeaten by Croatia and Spain in the Group 4 table.
The qualification to the semifinal of UEFA Nations League made 2018 as the perfect year for England. No wonder, previously, they were qualified until the semifinal round of 2018 World Cup.
“It has been a great year, for the country it has been fantastic. We had a great summer, after that we wanted to progress,” Kane said.
“We wanted to carry on being better and the only way to do that is if you beat the big teams like we have. It is a perfect way to finish the year, it’s been a good run for me personally and a great one for the team overall,” he said.
England have the chance to win the first edition of UEFA Nations League. The semifinal and final round will be conducted in June 2019.
If they make it, this would be the first international trophy for England since the 1996 World Cup.
“It’s another semi-final, two games away from winning a trophy. So whoever we play will be a tough game,” Kane uttered.
