LaLiga Has Spent Over 1 Million Billion on Player Transfers
By news-admin
Madrid
DBasia.news – LaLiga clubs are quite wasteful to spend on buying players in the transfer market this summer. The amount of their spending so far exceeds the Premier League, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1.
As reported by the AS, LaLiga has spent more than one billion euros on transfers that have taken place (purchases made by LaLiga clubs). That amount has exceeded 930 million euros which came out in 2018.
A billion euros is a record unprecedented in LaLiga. Keep in mind, the summer transfer market is continuing now and that number can still increase as the potential for transfers can occur.
LaLiga’s advantage is absolutely above the Premier League (675 million euros), Serie A (674 million euros), Bundesliga (530 million euros), Ligue 1 (226 million euros), and NOS League (101 million euros). In fact, Real Madrid itself has beaten the number of Ligue 1 purchases and the Nos League – Madrid has spent 303 million euros.
The condition is inversely proportional to the past 2017 when purchases in LaLiga lost to the big European leagues (LaLiga only spent 557 million euros). at that time, the Premier League became the most wasteful league with spending 1.37 billion euros.
No wonder it does see LaLiga at the top of a wasteful league. Especially if you look at spending by three of Spain’s top clubs: Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Real Madrid.
The three clubs spend a lot like when they recruit: Luka Jovic (60 million euros), Frenkie de Jong (75 million euros), Eden Hazard (100 million euros), Antoine Griezman (120 million euros), and Joao Felix who are the most expensive purchase for LaLiga club so far is 127.2 million euros from Benfica to Atletico Madrid.
