Leaving Manchester City, David Silva Reportedly Will Join Lazio
By db-admin
DBasia.news – David Silva will indeed leave Manchester City after the 2019-2020 Champions League competition. But he still has the opportunity to wear the blue sky uniform next season.
The blue sky uniform in question does not belong to Manchester City because Silva’s contract will expire at the end of this season. The Spanish midfielder is rumored to be moving to Lazio.
Reporting from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Silva had a meeting with Lazio’s sporting director, Igli Tare. Reportedly the two parties almost reach a deal.
Lazio did make Silva as one of their main target as they won tickets to the Champions League. Biancocelesti are aware of the need for experienced players to navigate the intense competition between European top clubs.
After leaving Manchester City, Silva was rumored to be continuing his career in the Middle East. He was seduced by a large salary from several Qatari clubs and the United Arab Emirates.
But Lazio’s offer is believed to make Silva change his mind. The former Valencia player seems to still want to appear in the Champions League next season.
Despite being 34 years old, Silva’s performance is still stable. This season he successfully contributed six goals and ten assists in the Premier League.
The presence of Silva will add options in the Lazio midfield. His duet with Sergej Milinkovic-Savic can certainly be relied upon by AS Roma city rivals to continue to compete in the championship lane.
