Leonardo Confirms Fabregas’ Chance of Joining Milan

AC Milan were rumored to Cesc Fabregas throughout the 2018 summer transfer market. Moreover, they have been associated for years.

However, AC Milan’s chance to sign Cesc Fabregas is getting bigger now due to his uncertain future in Chelsea.

Cesc Fabregas’ contract would end on June 30th, 2018, but there’s no sign of renewal. It means Fabregas might leave Chelsea in a free transfer.

Leonardo admits the interest to Cesc Fabregas. But, AC Milan director reveals that they won’t put too much effort to sign him.

“We evaluated it, considering the possibility, but didn’t go all in,” Leonardo told Sky Sport Italia.

“We are still evaluating the conditions. Unfortunately, with the Financial Fair Play issue.”

“There could be an economic sanction, we’ll see what happens. We do have a very negative balance sheet. We’ll certainly do something on the market,” Leonardo added.

AC Milan might sign Cesc Fabregas freely at the end of 2018-2019 season. Il Diavolo Rosso could also sign him in the January transfer market, but not in a free transfer.
