Less Strong Without Ronaldo? Here’s Lopetegui Response

Julen Lopetegui
DBasia.news – The race to win the LaLiga title could be seen from the three initial matches of 2018/2019 season. Two clubs dominating Spain in recent years, Barcelona and Real Madrid, remain the favorite candidate to win the LaLiga trophy. Both swept clean all the three matches with the victory.
Now, all Europe top leagues are entering the international break. After the break ends, most of Europe big teams will face a tight schedule on September as the participation in Champions League (or UEFA) and also in domestic level.
The public is waiting for Madrid’s performance after the three consecutive winnings, moreover, they are no longer supported by Portuguese megastar, Cristiano Ronaldo and the charismatic coach Zinedine Zidane. Many people speculated they will be less strong this season, and one of them is Barcelona megastar, Lionel Messi.
Cristiano Ronaldo
“Real Madrid are one of the best teams in the world and they have a great squad (but) it’s evident that the absence of Ronaldo makes them less good and makes Juventus [one of the] clear favorites to win the Champions League,” Messi said recently.
Messi’s comment was heard by new Madrid coach, Julen Loeptegui. The former Spain national team coach has his own diplomatic and safe answer in responding to Messi, that made Madrid’s fans went awry.
“I wouldn’t doubt these Real Madrid players for a second. We have done okay but it is only the start and we have three weeks ahead with the Champions League,” Lopetegui added reported by AS, Wednesday (5/9).
“We have achieved the aim of nine points and now we need to reflect. The players need to come back fit and we will see what happens,” he explained.
In plain view, Madrid are less strong without Ronaldo who won four Ballon d’Or and four Champions League titles in Madrid. However, under Lopetegui, Madrid could play collectively without prioritizing one specific player.
