Lionel Messi Wants to Leave Barcelona and Join Manchester City

DBasia.news – The crisis in the FC Barcelona squad is increasingly clear from the news that is currently making a scene in cyberspace. Blaugrana captain Lionel Messi reportedly wants to leave Barca and terminate his contract.

Marcelo Bechler, the journalist who first reported that Neymar would leave Barcelona in 2017 – and proved absolutely – shared Messi’s desire to leave. La Pulga reportedly wants to play for Manchester City and reunites with his former coach Pep Guardiola.

“Messi wants to play for Manchester City. The treatment from Barcelona hurt him and this is the end of circulation,” said Bechler at @marcelobechler.

Messi’s desire to leave the only club he defended from 2004 has allegedly occurred since Barca’s 2-8 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League. It was a painful defeat for Barca and the biggest score ever in the knockout stages of the Champions League.

The arrival of Ronald Koeman as coach to replace Quique Setien also did not change the 33-year-old’s attitude. In fact, according to Marca Koeman, Messi was angry and wanted to leave when the two met.

The meeting between the two did not go well when Messi got emotional at the words of the former Dutch national team coach.

“The privilege in this squad is over, you (Messi) have to give everything for the team,” Koeman allegedly said when he met Messi. “I’m not flexible: you just have to think about the team.”

Suddenly Messi was emotional to hear this because so far the Argentine player has given everything for Barcelona. No doubt Messi immediately asked Barcelona to let him go because he wanted to leave or submitted a transfer request.

“(Messi) cannot leave. He can only leave in 2021. I have seen his contract and it is very clear. The clause expires in June (2021) and there is no going back,” said Joan Gaspart, former President of Barcelona.

“I would prefer him to leave next year for free than now for less than 700 million euros. The club that leads, not the players, the club that pays the players. And it’s not a question of money, but a contract has been signed. That’s all.”

Since promoting from the La Masia, Messi has won 33 trophies at Barclona including 10 LaLiga titles, four Champions League trophies and six Copa del Rey.
