Lopetegui Reluctant to Compare Bale with Ronaldo
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui refused to compare the ability of Gareth Bale with Cristiano Ronaldo. Lopetegui optimists, Bale will show the great performance in the 2018-2019 season.
Until now, Real Madrid are still confused to find the successor of Cristiano Ronaldo who joined Juventus. The target players like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Eden Hazard aren’t sure to join Santiago Bernabeu.
However, Lopetegui has the backup plan. Not from the other team, but from Gareth Bale that can be the main support of Los Blancos.
“It’s not about replacing someone or filling their role, it’s about being part of the team,” Lopetegui said reported by FourFourTwo.
Previously under Zinedine Zidane era, Gareth Bale’s future was uncertain. Many times, the Wales national team didn’t include the starting eleven of Madrid. But the situation was different when Julen Lopetegui became the coach.
“Gareth Bale is obviously a great player but it’s not for me to make comparisons,” Lopetegui added.
“No player puts the team on their back. It’s about the team playing for each other and that’s what we’re pushing for.”
“Bale is an extraordinary player and we’re confident he will have a great season,” he emphasized.
