Lothar Matthaus Asks Erling Haaland Not to Move to Real Madrid First

DBasia.news – German legend Lothar Matthaus reminded Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland not to move to Real Madrid, at least for now. Haaland himself has revealed that he wanted to play in many European clubs.
Matthaus suggested this to Haaland because the Norwegian player still has a long career. And with the age of 19, this is not the right time to join Madrid.
“Haaland is very suitable to play at Real Madrid. But he is still young and still got a lot of flight hours to make. He is still 19 years old, and should not move to Real Madrid for now. Because he probably will not play in big games and have to compete with Karim Benzema,” Matthaus said as quoted by Movistar.
Haaland’s previous career shined with RB Salzburg and making many big clubs to wanting him, like Manchester United and Juventus. But Haaland prefers to move to Dortmund. The decision was right because he increasingly showed his quality as a top-class attacker.
“Haaland must be in Dortmund for several years, only then can he move to Real Madrid. I judge, steps like this will be good for his career,” said Matthaus.
Erling Haaland This season scored a total of 40 goals and 9 assists from 33 matches alone with Salzburg and Dortmund.
