Luciano Spalletti Criticize His Squad After Parma Defeat

DBasia.news – If FC Parma still perform like how they used to be in the 1990s, their 1-0 winning against Inter Milan in fourth Giornata of Serie A won’t be a surprising news. But in fact, the result made Inter rained with critics.
No wonder, Inter were very busy during the summer transfer market by recruiting top players like Kwadwo Asamoah, Radja Nainggolan, Sime Vrsaljko, and Stefan de Vrij. They are the strong candidates to win the Scudetto against Juventus.
But no one expected Inter Milan will get two defeats in the four initial matches of 2018-2019 Serie A. The 0-1 defeat from Sassuolo in the opening match of Serie A, this time Inter won by the only goal from Federico Dimarco. Luciano Spalletti, Inter coach, has his unique theory about that.
Inter vs Parma
“When we reached the edge of their area we were not patient enough. Instead, we became uncertain and got afraid. That kind of fear that makes you nervous, and we ended up being not well-composed playing poor balls. In the meantime Parma instead grew in confidence,” Spalletti told InterTV.
Moreover, the bald coach also criticized the referee’s decision who didn’t give the penalty kick for his team after Dimarco touched the ball with his elbow in the forbidden area, when he tried to stop the attack from Ivan Perisic.
Parma’s wriggle from the penalty kick is rather unique because Serie A has applied the VAR since last season to measure such situation.
“Now I see the video, that really did look to be handball. I don’t know how VAR works, but he really did deflect the ball away from the goal with his arm. It was outstretched, that ball could’ve gone anywhere. That was clear as day,” Spalletti mentioned.
But there’s no turning back. Despite the critics and comments, Inter won’t change the final result. Now, Spalletti will concentrate to motivate Inter to revive ahead of the Champions League against the minor trend team, Tottenham Hotspur.
