DBasia.news – The U23 Indonesia national team coach, Luis Milla, mentioned the opponent Palestine as a better team compared to his squad on the pitch. He said that after the match between U23 Indonesia against U23 Palestina at Patriot Stadium, Bekasi, Wednesday (15/8).

Indonesia got defeat in the second match of Group A. Previously, the Garuda squad won 4-0 for Taiwan. While for Palestine, that was the third matches after playing draw 0-0 with Taiwan and won 2-1 against Laos.

The U23 Indonesia national team defeated at 16′ when the referee gave penalty kick to Palestine. Oday Dabbagh scored to goal, who maximized Mohamed Darwish’s kick from the white dot.

Indonesia followed at 23′ through Irfan Jaya. The Persebaya Surabaya player got the long ball with no offside, looking for a gap before releasing the kick resulting in a goal to Palestine’s net.

Palestine got one more goal at 51′. Mohamed Darsiwh got the passing and kicked the ball to Andritany Ardhiyasa. Indonesia left 1-2 until the end of the match.

“In this match, there are some phases. The first phase happened until the penalty kick. Palestine played better than us. I admit that” Luis Milla said.

“After the penalty, we reacted well and followed the position. While the second phase happened when we lost one more player and they maximized the chance and scored the goal. We have to be better and wiser in the future.”

“This is a professional football. We have the demand and focus to the next match,” Luis Milla continued.

This is also the reason why the U23 Indonesia national team couldn’t win like the previous match against Taiwan. As we know, the Garuda squad defeated Taiwan 4-0.

“I think when they won over Taiwan, we went well. But this time, the opponent is stronger and have a higher level,” Luis Milla explained.
