Luis Milla Respond of U23 National Team’s Opponent: UAE

DBasia.news – The U23 Indonesia national team became the champion of Group A since the victory against Hong Kong in the last match of group phase at Patriot Stadium, Bekasi, Monday (20/8). Indonesia will play against the Uni Arab Emirates in the round of 16.

The round of 16 would be conducted at Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Cikarang, Friday (24/8). Luis Milla is hesitant to talk much about the opponent.

“Regarding UAE, I don’t know their strategy. We have four days to prepare and we’ll see how they play,” Luis Milla explained.

Luis Milla respected the upcoming opponent. He believed UAE has a great football team.

“I think they are strong enough with good football culture. It would be difficult for us, but we have four days to get ready,” Luis Milla said.

Luis Milla said it after the victory of Garuda squad against Hong Kong 3-1. The U23 Indonesia national team were left behind by Hok Ming Lau goal at 38′. The head ball of Hok Ming Lau couldn’t be countered by Andritany Ardhiyasa.

The Garuda squad just scored the goal and balanced the situation at 46′. Irfan Jaya scored his name responding to the passing to the square before scoring. The ball once hit goalkeeper Ho Chun Yuen’s hand before entered the net.

The U23 Indonesia national team made another goal at 85′. Stefano Lilipaly scored Hong Kong’s net and made Indonesia led the match 2-1.

The goal made at 94′ by Hanif Sjahbandi brought Indonesia won 3-1.
