Luis Milla wins the Granada in the opening season of the 2020/21 LaLiga

DBasia.news – Luis Milla Mazanares (25 years old), the son of the former Indonesian national team coach, Luis Milla Aspas, successfully marked his debut in the Spanish LaLiga with his new club, Granada, by scoring goals.
Granada managed to defeat Athletic Bilbao with a score of 2-0 in the inaugural jornada of the 2020/21 LaLiga season at the Los Carmenes Nuevo Stadium, Saturday (12/9).
The host’s lead was opened by midfielder, Yangel Herrera’s header from Angel Montoro’s cross in the 49th minute.
Milla, who was introduced as a starter, doubled the score four minutes later. The midfielder scored with a long-range shot after intercepting the opponent’s pass.
In this match, Milla appeared for 89 minutes before being replaced by Victor Diaz. The 2-0 score for Granada’s victory lasted until the end of the match.
After the match through social media, Milla senior was unable to contain his pride towards Milla junior.
“In September 1984, I made my debut in LaLiga, 36 years later, you [Manzanares] did the same thing,” read Luis Milla Aspas’ post on his social media account.

As reported by Marca, Milla was recruited by Granada from the Segunda Division club, Tenerife, for 5 million euros in the transfer market this summer. He signed a contract until June 2024 with El Grana.

Last season, Granada finished seventh in the final LaLiga standings which was their best achievement since 1974. Granada at the same time has qualified for the first time to European competition. Diego Martinez’s squad will travel to the headquarters of the Albanian club, Teuta Durres, in the second round of the 2020/21 Europa League Qualification season, Wednesday (17/9).
