Manchester City makes sure Guardiola Stays
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Pep Guardiola will certainly stay at Manchester City and complete his contract, according to club CEO, Ferran Soriano.
Guardiola is under contract at City until 2021, but lately the future of the Spanish coach is in doubt despite making The Citizen win the Premier League for two consecutive seasons.
Reports states, which Guardiola has denied, claiming there is a clause that will allow the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich coach to leave at the end of the season.
However, Soriano believes Guardiola will stay and honor his contract amid speculation of his desires of returning to Barcelona.
“Pep has repeatedly said that he has a contract covering this year, plus next year too,” Soriano said.
“There is no discussion about this. Pep will stay and he will leave at the right time someday – and the club is strong enough to withstand any changes.”
“However, as Pep has said so many times, he has nowhere to go.”
